Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies The Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies invites you to The 25+ CPACS Anniversary Forum and Dinner on Wednesday 25th February 2015 CPACS, launched on 16 May 1988, is celebrating 25+ Years with a: Looking Back & Looking Forward: Peace with Justice Forum Followed by CPACS Celebratory Dinner. The Forum Looking Back: 1.45 to 3.15pm Looking Forward: 3.45-5.15pm Venue: John Woolley Common Room, John Woolley Building, University of Sydney. No entry fee. Reception and Celebratory Dinner Hosted by Yola Lucire and Bruce Childs, with celebrity guest speaker, Meredith Burgmann* When: 6.30 for 7pm Start Venue: 345 Edgecliff Rd, Edgecliff (Street parking only) $20 entry fee at the door. *Meredith Burgmann: BA, Usyd, 1969; MA Usyd, 1973 (Foreign Policy); PhD, Macquarie, 1981 (Industrial Relations), is a former President of the Legislative Council of NSW and former Councillor of the City of Sydney (2008-12). She is currently President of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) and heartbeat of the Ernies Awards. She also has or had, a very large ASIO file for activism beyond the call of civic duty as envisaged at Newscorp, and is the co-patron of the West Papua Project at CPACS. The Forum Program Note: Speakers have been informally commissioned to observe various suggested time limits for their presentations so that chairpersons can ensure an open discussion period of 30 minutes at each session. 1.45-3.15pm Looking Back (Down Memory Lane, with Lessons} Acknowledgement of Country Welcome to CPACS Anniversary: Jake Lynch, Director CPACS.
