We are delighted to invite you to “HICON 2015” to be held from 6th February-8th February, 2015
at Hotel Leela, Mumbai. “HICON 2015” a multidisciplinary single theme colorectal conference
being organised by Dr L H Hiranandnai Hospital & IOSPL and has been endorsed by the ASI,
ACRSI and Mumbai Surgical Society.
Colorectal cancer, the third most common cancer in men and the second worldwide, has risen
rapidly in asian countries. Population based time trend studies show a rising trend in the incidence
of CRC in India. Controversies on causes still exist and despite research there is a little impact on
primary prevention of CRC. That being said, it has the best survival rates when compared to rest of
the gastrointestinal tract cancers. Ever improving surgical expertise and new era
chemotherapeutic agents and molecular targets have achieved 5-year survivals even in settings of
a metastatic liver disease.
This conference aims to address the entire gamut of controversies and challenging clinical issues
confronted by the surgical and oncology community. The delegates will find this meet the best
way to progress in CRC management so as to produce optimal results for our patient community.
This conference will showcase live surgeries by renowned International and National experts. The
scientific program will have didactic lectures, key note talks, debates, video sessions and most
importantly case based panel discussion to allow maximum audience interactions. This 3 day
program is integrated to cover colorectal cancer management in a multi-disciplinary way and
would be followed by a synopsis of the latest ASCO GI 2015 updates.
