WELCOME TO OUR SECRET SISTERS! All ladies of the church are invited to participate in this ministry of
caring and sharing with other sisters in Christ. You will be given a “sister” to pray for and encourage. It is
wonderful to have someone that prays for you daily and is there to send you an encouraging note from time
to time. We’ll be keeping our “sister” a secret; so don’t let anyone know who you have.
NO GUESSING ALLOWED ☺. At the end of the program, there will be a reveal party – February 2016.
IMPORTANT AND FUN RESPONSIBILITIES AS A SISTER:
1. Know that it is a commitment. Your sister is relying on you to uphold her in your daily prayers and for
encouragement.
2. Pray daily for your sister. Get to know her needs and her family’s needs so that you may pray specifically
for them. Be detailed on your profile sheet.
3. Make an effort to get to know your sister. Discover the likes and dislikes of your sister. Know her
favorites. Find out all about her.
4. Be an encouragement. Send her cards or notes of encouragement once a month.
5. Remember your sister on her special occasions. Don’t forget to send cards for her birthday and
anniversary or special landmarks in your sister’s life.
6. Keep it a secret! Don’t let anyone know who you have. You can either mail (be sure you do not put your
return mailing address) or bring them to church. Our deacons or greeters will be available to deliver your
cards/notes/gifts to your “Secret Sister.”
7. If you are unable to continue, contact Jonnice Grentz. We want all the ladies that participate, to
participate through the Reveal Party. However, if along the way you are unable to continue, please let
Jonnice Grentz know so that your “Secret Sister” can be reassigned.
GUIDELINES
 Gift purchases are not mandatory. However, some great purchased gift ideas include food gifts, candy,
and homemade goodies. All gifts and cards can be left at the Secret Sister table/bin in the foyer or given
to a deacon or greeter for the ease of delivery.
 Be sure to contact your sister by means of a note or card at least once a month.
 If you plan to give something that is perishable keep in mind that if your secret sister is not present you
will need to retrieve it before you leave the church.
 Our Secret Sister ‘Reveal’ Party will be held February 2016. Please bring a final gift for your secret sister.
More details on the party will be communicated later.
 VERY IMPORTANT!!! Anyone NOT hearing from their Secret Sister on a regular basis PLEASE talk to
Jonnice Grentz or Sarah Faulkner.
Above all, have fun and enjoy getting to know your sisters! You can be the instrument that God has placed in
her life to provide the encouragement she needs right when it’s needed.
Praying daily for your sister will strengthen YOU and HER, and the rewards can be immeasurable.
