Shomrei Emunah Weekly Bulletin February 7, 2015 18 of Shevat 5775 CONGREGATION SHOMREI EMUNAH RABBI BINYAMIN MARWICK, RABBI Shabbos Parshas Yisro 6221 GREENSPRING AVENUE BALTIMORE, MD 21209 RABBI DR. TZVI HERSH WEINREB, RABBI EMERITUS Vol. 5 No. 16 410-358-8604 FAX 410-358-0664 RABBI BENJAMIN BAK, זצ׳ל, RABBI EMERITUS (1972-1989) Message from the President I'd like to thank everyone that have been involved in the Bistro & Game night event that's iy’H taking place next Motzei Shabbos. This is an opportunity for all of us in the shul to get together and enjoy an evening out. This is not a shul fundraiser, and the charge is simply to cover costs. Please reserve as soon as possible, as we need an accurate head count. As of the time of this writing, we are already have 100 reservations. If 400 people show up without reservations, I will not be sharing my dairy buffet. There are many opportunities to join various shiurim that are offered throughout the week in the shul. There is a new shiur to be given by Rabbi Marwick starting this Tuesday evening. It’s being offered for men 35 and under, with details being posted elsewhere in this bulletin. For the rest of us senior citizens, the bais medrash is open every evening, and there is a really great camaraderie among those that are there every night. I encourage all of you that may be dozing in your armchairs at home, to come learn or doze in the bais medrash instead. During the last month or two, there has been a lot of growth in our Friday night Carlebach Kabbalos Shabbos. While I know this isn't for everyone, this minyan has beautiful davening and singing, and is a wonderful way to enter Shabbos. Try it, I think you will really enjoy it.
