Recent advances in ocean circulation modelling workshop 10.00 - 12.00 noon Seminar Room, NOC The NOC has completed a 30 year simulation of the global ocean at a resolution of 1/12º and many of the outputs are now online. This workshop consists of short presentations covering online availability of the data, technical aspects of the model, its verification, future development, examples of circulation fields and their analysis, followed by an informal demonstration session. The Arctic Ocean circulation and its sea-ice is a particular strength of the model and attention will be paid to performance and potential applications. IMarEST: Gender diversity in the marine sector 3.00 – 5.00pm Room G1, 6th Floor, NOC The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology will be holding a panel session followed by discussions on key topics affecting gender diversity in the marine sector.
