VisiFerm DO B– Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor
VisiFerm DO B– Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Robust inline DO measurement for brewing applications The VisiFerm is the first optical process sensor for the measurement of dissolved oxygen in an all-in-one, 12mm format. Designed for applications where CIP is carried out frequently, it holds significant advantages compared to Clark cells– fast response time, reliable measurement, no polarization time, and simple sensor cap replacement are just a few features of the Hamilton VisiFerm optical standard. Wisdom from Within– The Hamilton Arc Philosophy With the transmitter integrated into every sensor, and using open industry standards, VisiFerm sensors offer fully compensated, backwards compatible measurement signals that integrate directly into new or existing process control systems. No new expensive transmitter or optical cable is required as with other optical DO systems. The Arc µ-transmitter located in the sensor head stores all relevant sensor data, including calibration history and diagnostic information in the sensor itself. The Arc Lifetime Indicator measures the quality of the sensor cap after calibration and during measurement to predict when a replacement will need to be made– before a failure– so that unscheduled downtime is avoided. Why Choose the VisiFerm DO? Application: No fragile membrane– One optical cap to replace No polarization time– Fast, stable values No drift, fast response time Independent of changes in flow Not affected in the presence of CO2 Maintenance: No internal electrolyte– One Installation Backwards compatible– can single, simple, sensor cap operate with existing replacement transmitters by generating a All relevant sensor and calibration data stored in the sensor head Pre-calibrate so that ready to use sensors can be stored in stock nA signal Can be connected directly to a process control system using a 4-20 mA or digital interface Ordering Information for VisiFerm B Series Optical DO Sensors: Part Number Description Shaft length (a-length) 238999-4116 VisiFerm DO B 120 120 mm 238999-4117 VisiFerm DO B 160 160 mm 238999-4118 VisiFerm DO B 225 225 mm 238999-4119 VisiFerm DO B 325 325 mm 238999-4120 VisiFerm DO B 425 425 mm 238999-4268 VisiFerm DO B Arc 120 120 mm 238999-4269 VisiFerm DO B Arc 225 225 mm 238999-4270 VisiFerm DO B Arc 325 325 mm 238999-4271 VisiFerm DO B Arc 425 425 mm 238999-4024 VisiFerm B Sensor Cap Fits all a-lengths Please visit our website for accessories and other important information: www.hamiltoncompany.com/sensors © 2012 Hamilton Company. Global Optical Sensor Market
Optical sensor converts the light into electric signals. It measures physical quantity of light and converts light into form which can be interpreted by instrument. Optical sensor is connected to electrical trigger which can reacts as per change in signal. Optical sensor has ability to measure change in wavelength of light. Optical sensor works with either single point method or through distribution point method. In single point method single phase change is required to activate the sensor. In distribution point method, the sensor is reactive along a series of sensors.
