Reporting Relationships
The Office of Regulatory Services is
responsible for a range of business,
occupational and consumer regulation.
The Office incorporates the functions of:







Office of Fair Trading;
WorkSafe ACT;
Parking inspectors;
Hawkers Licences;
Outdoor Cafes;
Road User Services
Tobacco licensing and smoke free
areas
Work Safe ACT [formerly Workcover] is
responsible for ensuring compliance by
relevant
duty
holders
with
their
obligations under the Work Health and
Safety Act 2011, the Workers
Compensation Act 1951 and a range of
other associated laws.
WorkSafe ACT focuses on a range of
legislation to seek compliance and
achieves its objectives through a
combination of worksite visits and
inspections, educational activities and,
ultimately,
if
necessary,
legal
enforcement.
The
ASO2
position
provides
administrative support to the WorkSafe
ACT business unit.

Duties / Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Manager, Regulatory Services Team. :

Provide professional, friendly and efficient information services to Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) and WorkSafe ACT clients;
Provide administrative support within WorkSafe ACT;
Contribute to the day to day operations of the section;
Maintain records in accordance with the Territory Records Act 2002;
