The Huntsville Association for Pastoral Care and Brookdale Place Jones Farm invite all pastors and spiritual care givers to be our guests at an educational lunch at Brookdale Place Jones Farm, 2815 Carl T. Jones Dr., Thurs., Feb. 26 from 11:30 to 12:30. Dr. Jack Ragland, Pastoral Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist with The Vine Pastoral Counseling Center will be speaking on "Helping Troubled Families." A couple comes to us with a marital problem or about a troubled child. What do we say? How can we be spiritually supportive and practically helpful? When do we refer to a therapist? If they go into therapy, how can we continue to be pastorally and spiritually supportive so they do not feel abandoned by us or by the church? These are some of the questions Dr. Ragland will be addressing. You may make a reservation by phoning Jana Seikel at Brookdale Place, 256 881-6111, or by contacting the Rev. Carl Malm, 256 883-6539, [email protected]. We hope to see you Feb. 26! Cost: $35.00 except for those from sponsoring churches. CEU's available for nurses at no charge! To register or for more information: email Carl Malm at [email protected] or phone at 256 883-6539.
