About Shiv Nadar University: Shiv Nadar University
(SNU) is a multidisciplinary research-led university
established by the Shiv Nadar Foundation in 2011,
through an Act of the State of Uttar Pradesh. The
University offers a full range of academic programs
at the undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral
levels and is located on a 256-acre campus in India’s
National Capital Region.
Poster presentation: This one-day symposium will
also have a poster competition. The best posters will
be selected by a three member panel of judges and
the selected presenters will be given cash awards
with certificate. Interested candidates may please
submit their abstracts to Prof. Sunanda Sukumar
through email [email protected] before
5th April 2015.
The School of Natural Sciences consists of four core
departments,
Department
of
Chemistry,
Department of Life Sciences, Department of Physics
and Department of Mathematics. Already the
faculty in these departments are working on
interdisciplinary research in nanomaterials,
medicinal chemistry, drug metabolism, large scale
computations, and seeking answers to cancer and
malaria through tissue culture. This natural
collaborative environment may be broadened and
faculty look forward to collaboration beyond the
boundaries of the university.
Transport and Lunch: Return transport for external
participants will be provided from Sec 16 metro
station (in front of HCL office) Noida to SNU via Pari
Chowk. Internal participants may avail of the usual
transport from their residence to SNU. Tea, coffee,
lunch and high tea will be available for all
participants.
About this Symposium: This one-day symposium
intends to provide a platform for our research
scholars and scientists to share new information and
advances and outlook on current trends in drug
discovery research in India. This event may open
new collaboration and grantsmanship in this area.

Prof. Subodh Kumar: Professor GNDU Amritsar and
member SERB DST, New Delhi.
Prof. NG Ramesh: Professor; Indian Institute of
Technology, Delhi.
Prof. Sandeep Verma: Professor and Head, Indian
Institute of Technology, Kanpur (not confirmed).
Dr. R Brakaspathy: Scientist G, DST New Delhi
