NOTICE OF MARCH MEETING
March 28, 2015
“Pop-Up” Flash Macro Photography presented by Art Vaughn
At Greater Lynn Photographic Association Building

The first meeting of 2015 is scheduled for March 28, 2015, and will be held at the Greater Lynn
Photographic Association building in Lynn, Massachusetts. Art Vaughn will present his program on
Macro Flash Photography. Art is a well-known member of Cam Nats and Merrimack Valley Camera
Club and has done similar presentations and workshops for other clubs. Art’s program will include a
demonstration of how to assemble your own “pop-up” flash bracket and the results possible with this
set-up. Art will also bring a few set-ups and some macro lenses and brackets will be available for you to
use to photograph these subjects after the presentation. Don’t forget to bring your camera! The attached
notes show how to assemble your own flash bracket, what items are required and where to find them
locally. If you want to make your own flash bracket using these easily found items, Art will explain
and demonstrate.
To allow time for Art’s presentation, answering questions, demonstrating how to assemble the flash
bracket and photographing the set-ups, we will start the meeting earlier, have a shortened business
meeting, and will show only guest images. Showing of member images will resume with our June
meeting at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary (June 6, 2015).

We will have a table set up for snacks and coffee. We will also set up tables for lunch.
For lunch, you may bring your own lunch or place an order for a box lunch from Periwinkles Food
Shoppe in Salem; They include a generous sandwich, chips, fruit, chocolate chip cookie and a drink
Marilyn and Rick Cloran have found the sandwiches to be excellent.
