INTRODUCTION
The International Society for Oil Palm Breeders (ISOPB),
the International Society of Oil Palm Agronomists
(ISOPA) and the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) are
organising a seminar on “Gearing Oil Palm Breeding and
Agronomy for Climate Change” on 5 October 2015. The
seminar will review the influence of climate change on
the oil palm industry.
Seminar registration fee per participant:
• ISOPB/ISOPA member:
USD 200 / RM 600
• Non-member:
USD 250 / RM 750
This seminar is organised in conjunction with the
International Palm Oil Congress & Exhibition (PIPOC) on
6-8 October 2015.
Payment by cheque / bank draft should be made payable
to “The International Society for Oil Palm Breeders”.
OBJECTIVES
o To address oil palm sustainability issues through
planting materials and agronomic practices;
o To recognise impact of climate change on oil palm
growth and yield; and
o To strategise R&D in breeding and agronomy for
climate change.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The seminar is suitable for breeders, tissue culturists,
biotechnologists, agronomists, entomologists, plant
pathologists, plant physiologists, seed producers, policy
makers, planters, managers, researchers, academia,
consultants, students and those interested in oil palm
productivity and climate change.

received before 1 August 2015. Refund will not be
applicable thereafter. A substitute participant is allowable
