February Newsletter - Loudoun County Public Schools
Kindergarten Newsletter February 2015 February Highlights February is always a busy month full of special occasions. One event that may be new to you is the celebration for the 100 th day of school. We celebrate the day with activities relating to the number 100. It is a fun way to incorporate counting by ones, fives, and tens to see what 100 of something looks like, to make comparisons, and to write about 100. We have been working up to this day since the first day of school. This year the 100th day of school is Friday, February 20th (as long as we don’t have any more snow days)! More information will be coming home soon from your child’s teacher. Per Loudoun County Guidelines: No candy may accompany Valentine’s Day cards. Any candy will be returned home. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding! Kindergarten students will also be exchanging valentines for Valentine’s Day. A letter will be sent home to explain the details. The children always look forward to delivering and receiving their valentines! As a reminder, if your child chooses to send in cards, please include one for each Kindergarten friend. A Look Ahead February Themes Report cards will come home Wednesday, February 4th. Please sign the report card and return only the bottom portion in your child’s manila envelope.
