AERIE 190 303 WEIRICH BLVD NW MASSILLON, OHIO
FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLES
March—April 2015
FROM THE DESK OF
THE WORTHY PRESIDENT
With spring around the corner our club is
going to be busy getting everything ready
for the Spring North East Zone Conference
April 10th 11th and 12th. Our Zone prep
meeting was the 7th of February and everything seems to be going forward on the
right track. At the district meeting on the
8th of February the district President made
the comment, that he was very impressed
with the way our club was setting everything up for the conference. He also made
the comment that he hopes other clubs follow our format to help keep costs under
control. Our next district meeting will be
March the 8th at the Canton Eagles 141.
The annual nominations for officers will be
April 20th, the 2nd meeting of the month. If
any one is thinking of running for an office,
that's the time to step up and throw your
name into the hat. One last thing, our club
lost a Brother Eagle that will be remembered for a very long time, rest in peace
Jimmy Youngdahl.
Fraternally Yours,
Jack Terrigan, Worthy President
Trustees’ Message
As I write this letter, I am thinking about
all of the cold days that we had during the
months of January and February. The
Board of Trustees would like to personally
thank everyone that was able to come out
and support the club during these days of
extreme cold weather. Just a reminder to
our member’s daylight savings time begins
on Sunday March 08, 2015. Please remember to set your clocks forward an hour.
We have a few upcoming events that
would like to mention to our members.
On Saturday March 14, 2015 we will be
having our annual Jimmy Kiefer Scholarship/Fundraiser. Tickets are selling fast
and can be purchased (if not sold out) at
the bar in the grill room.
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday April
10th thru April 12th, we will be hosting
the Zone conference. Due to the number
of members attending from out of town,
we will not be accepting dinner reservations these days.
We will also be having entertainment in
grill room on Friday and Saturday on these
dates listed above. The Originals will be
here on Friday and Spicy Rhyme on Saturday.
We will also be having Indians home baseball tickets coming in early April. Only 1
set allowed per member
