MISSION STATEMENT BPNE MEMBER HOSPITALS: The Bergen Passaic Nurse Educators is a professional organization affiliated with the Association for Nursing Professional Development and is a forum of nurse educators from Bergen, Passaic, Essex, & Rockland county hospitals and long-term care facilities who explore common concerns related to educational activities for healthcare providers and collaborate in the development, standardization and implementation of educational opportunities for nursing staff at these member hospitals. Bette Case Di Leonardi, PhD, RN-BC, has been adventuring in nursing since 1967 and has practiced as an independent consultant in education and competency management since 1993. She has developed and presented numerous educational sessions nationwide and internationally. She has developed and taught web-based courses and webinars. She has published widely: continuing education courses, articles, book chapters, and three books. Test development is one of her areas of expertise. She has been actively involved in ANPD since its inception and was among the first group of nurses certified in NPD. She serves on the editorial board of The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing and Nurse Educator and is active in credentialing, having served on a number of boards and committees, currently as a board member of the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification.
