Assembly Instruction Driving cab floor assembly kit for TAMIYA Mercedes Benz 1838 / 1850 (1:14,5) This kit includes parts for a driving cab floor for the TAMIYA MB 1838 / 1850. The floor consists of two parts and is placed on the existing base plate and partly inside the cab. The cab floor will hide the view onto the RC equipment through the windshield. The driver cabin's tilt limiter can be mounted like explained in the original Tamiya kit. Overview of the parts with item-numbers MDTechShop - Wörthstrasse 40 - 70563 Stuttgart - Email: [email protected] Assembly Procedure Before you put the parts together please read the assembly instructions carefully and pay attention to the assembly sequence and test the fitting accuracy of the parts before gluing them together. It is helpful to fix the parts at first only on a few points with super-glue and after a check along the edges fully with super-glue or a polystyrene-glue. The parts are made of polystyrene, if you use super-glue in combination with activator spray, please be aware that the activator spray can destroy polystyrene – because of that you should use it very carefully or use only polystyrene-glue. The kit consists of three modules. Module 1 (floor front): The wall member 11 is first glued flush and in a 90 degrees angle to the upper floor 7. The designated depression in Part 7 assists in positioning. The part must be fixed true sided on top - note in the picture, the position of the oblique small slit. Subsequently, the positioning aid 8 is inserted into the remaining depression well before part 11 in the floor and glued at 90 degrees. For test, the cover 10 can be placed as well. If everything fits, cover 10 can also be glued from below. Module 2 (support): Glue support 1 with wall in a 90 degree angle (as pictured above). Make sure that the narrower flap is at left. Subsequently, glue part 3 into the longitudinal slot - please note also the direction here. At the front the two L-pads lie on the fender hump MDTechShop - Wörthstrasse 40 - 70563 Stuttgart - Email: [email protected] You can clearly see how the cabin floor's rear fits on the gearbox housing - the fitting 8 "dives" in front into the space between the black floor plate. The floor may be fixed with double-sided tape.
