Would you like to train to become a qualified teacher in an outstanding West
London secondary school?
Cranford Community College is recruiting graduates in Maths, Sciences, German
and Spanish to train to become qualified teachers via the School Direct training
route. Successful trainees will undertake a comprehensive programme to gain
Qualified Teacher Status and the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in
conjunction with Kingston University.
You could qualify for a tax free bursary of up to £25,000 for your training year.
Successful trainees are likely to secure employment with our school at the end
of the year.

In order to apply you need to be a graduate or in your final year at university, and
you need GCSE maths and English grade C or above.

Applicant Requirements
 A relevant degree from a UK university or a recognised university abroad (these
will need to be NARIC assessed)
 The degree must be linked to the subject you want to train to teach ie., maths,
science or languages based
 GCSE Grade C or above in English and maths
 Although not essential, experience of working with children and or young people
would be an advantage
Costs
 The cost of the training programme is £9,000. This is eligible for a low interest
student loan which only needs to be repaid once a minimum income threshold is
reached
