VACANCIES The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is established under Section 3 of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act No. 22 of 2011, pursuant to article (79) of the Constitution of Kenya. The Mandate of the Commission is to combat and prevent corruption through law enforcement, preventive measures, education and promotion of standards and best practices of Integrity, Ethics and Anti-Corruption. The Commission invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Huduma Centre Clerks (To be based in Lamu, Tana River, Mandera, Wajir & Embu) Reporting to the Deputy Director – EACC Regional Office; Duties and responsibilities include; • • • • • • • • • Attending to and advising members of the public seeking information or assistance at the Centre about the Commission Receiving reports related to corruption and unethical conduct Advising members of the public/complainants Receiving of clearance application forms Verification of applications received Liaising with other Departments/agencies represented at the Centre Making appropriate referrals Disseminating Commission’s IEC materials Educating members of the public on the mandate of the Commission and their roles in the fight against corruption Requirements for appointment: For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:• • • • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Arts, Criminology, Communications, Economics, Political Science, Law, Education, International Relations, Business Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Governance or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Attained KCSE C+ or is equivalent Good interpersonal communication skills Certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage TERMS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT i) Employment will be on short-term contract, renewable on mutual consent. ii) Applicants must be of outstanding honesty and integrity, and should be willing to be subjected to a vetting process • Applicants must clearly indicate the regional office where they wish to work on the application letter and envelope.
