be returned to the office collection boxes by Friday 27th March. These are external
competitions and monies cannot be accepted after this date.
2016 Year 6 to Year 7 – Expression of interest forms for 2016 year 7
placement preferences are due back tomorrow, 20th March. Please return these
forms to the office collection box.
2015 Inspire Innovate Conference – On Wednesday, I had the pleasure
of attending the Inspire Innovate conference at ANZ Stadium, Homebush. Mrs
Mar and Mrs Nammour had been invited to run a workshop showcasing the
wonderful learning taking place at Caddies Creek with the use of ipads. A large
number of teachers from across the state were inspired by the work samples of
our students and the explanations and demonstrations by Mrs Mar and Mrs
Nammour. This workshop took several hours to put together and it is a testament
to the dedication of our teachers and the work they do to engage students with
emerging technologies. Congratulations to Mrs Mar and Mrs Nammour on their
brilliant presentation.

Harmony Day
Everyone belongs
Caddies Creek Primary School will celebrate Harmony Day on Tuesday, 24th March. Harmony Day is about bringing
people together to celebrate being Australian. It is a day to understand and commit to the benefits of living in a country
that embraces the common values of respect, fairness, participation, acceptance and a fair go for all. It's about educating
our children to counter ignorance with the facts of our success as a multicultural nation. To celebrate the day Caddies
Creek students are encouraged to wear an orange accessory with their school uniform. Students could wear an orange
armband, an orange hat or ribbon. How about orange socks! Please encourage your child to participate and help to make
it a successful day.

Chocolate -
Now that we have your attention please look out for your Easter Raffle ticket books that have been
issued with today’s chronicle. The raffle will be drawn at the K-2 Easter Hat Parade to be held on Thursday 2 nd April
2015. Details regarding the raffle are on the tickets. Please sell the tickets and return the ticket stubs and money to the
office by Wednesday 1st April 2015. As in previous years we are kindly asking that each family donate one Easter
chocolate bunny, large egg or packet of eggs to the raffle. Also, we are still in need of any large or medium baskets
that you may be able to donate so that we can put our Easter egg prizes together. Any eggs and baskets can be left at the
office for collection by the P & C. Your help with donating chocolate and selling tickets is greatly appreciated as more
funds raised equals more resources for Caddies Creek PS!

301 861 or via email: [email protected] no later than Monday 23rd March, so that a roster can be confirmed.
Your help will be much appreciated in ensuring this successful fundraising event. Please note: no children under 12

Easter Hat Parade
As Easter fast approaches, it is once again time for children to express their individual creativity and be involved in
making their own hats. We invite parents to attend our annual K-2 Easter Hat Parade which will be held on Thursday
2nd April. All students in Kinder, Year 1 and Year 2 will be asked to make an Easter themed hat at home, which they
will bring on the day to parade. We encourage parents to come and enjoy the event with us. The festivities will begin at
12:00pm in our school hall.

Crazy Hair Day
Next week, Thursday 26th of March, Year Six are inviting ALL students to participate in CRAZY HAIR DAY!!! This
means WIGS; AFROS; HAIRSPRAY; the possibilities are endless. Throughout the term, students have been
brainstorming ideas, creating posters and certificates, as well as visiting classes and assemblies to publicise the event.
They have been excitedly organising the day and look forward to seeing all your 'Crazy Hair' colours, styles and
accessories. A gold coin donation is all that is needed to participate in this school-wide event. All proceeds will
contribute to the Year 6 Farewell/Graduation. There is only one small condition and that is students are required to wear
full school uniform on the day. In advance, the Year Six students and teachers thank you for your contributions and
support.

For PSSA AFL, it is now part of the DEC requirements that children wear mouthguards as it is a contact sport. For your
child’s safety, we are asking that if your child already has a mouthguard they wear it every week for PSSA. If your child
does not have a mouthguard, please purchase one as soon as possible. All AFL students will be required to have a
mouthguard in order to play from Term 4 onwards. We thank you for your support on this matter and look forward to a
fun, thrilling and safe season ahead.
