CABRILLO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT 498 Kelly Ave, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 • 650 712-7100 • Fax 650 726-0279 • www.cabrillo.k12.ca.us SUPERINTENDENT Tony Roehrick, Ed.D. GOVERNING BOARD Michael Ahern Kate Livingston Freya McCamant Robert Pappalardo Kirk Riemer FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: FROM: RE: March 26, 2015 Kate Livingston, Governing Board President Resignation of Tony Roehrick, Cabrillo Unified School District Superintendent The Cabrillo Unified School District announces the resignation of Dr. Tony Roehrick as Superintendent, effective June 30, 2015. Dr. Roehrick has served since July 1, 2012. He has accepted a position to become Superintendent of a district located in Sonoma County. Dr. Roehrick cited personal reasons for his decision to leave Cabrillo. “I came to this district with every intention to spend the rest of my career here,” Roehrick stated. “However, after moving from Sonoma County my first year in the District, it became clear that the adjustment to leave family and friends was very difficult for my wife. We moved back to our home in Santa Rosa after that first year. Living in two places and commuting on weekends has been very difficult for both of us. This is my sole reason for leaving the district.” The Governing Board will contract with Leadership and Associates to conduct the search for a new superintendent. This firm assisted in the search process that resulted in the appointment of Dr. Roehrick. The Board is again committed to conducting a search with input from the community and district employees. Dr. Roehrick stated, “I am very appreciative of the Governing Board to have brought me to Cabrillo. This is an outstanding district and community. Our teachers are among the most talented and dedicated I have ever worked with. We have excellent principals and assistant principals in place and our district team is a cohesive group that supports the teaching and learning that occurs daily in our classrooms. I will miss them all.” ### Half Moon Bay High School • Cunha Intermediate School Alvin S.
