Put the dates in your diary now! The Toshiba Hastings Pro-Am is a tournament that you
will not want to miss in 2015.
Enjoy playing 36 holes with some of New Zealand’s top professional golfers in a fun
and relaxed event.
Our highly acclaimed course offers a thrilling day out to golfers of all abilities. The
spectacular views of the ranges, impeccable condition of the greens, challenging
undulations and unique layout will ensure that your experience in the Toshiba Hastings
Pro-Am is a memorable one.
To reflect the enduring appeal of visiting Hawke’s Bay, we are introducing a fun new
concept for our 2015 Pro-Am. Hawke’s Bay is famous for its spectacular wine and food,
so we are weaving the local flavours in to the tournament as well.
Local wineries and food producers will be showcasing their fine product, giving you
the opportunity to sample the best of Hawke’s Bay. Gourmet finger food, a BBQ and
thirst quenching refreshments will complement your experience on our world class
course.
To kick off the event, Gold team members will participate in the 18 hole Ambrose
Tournament at Hastings Golf Club, on Wednesday 13 May, sponsored by SpecialTee
Golf. An enjoyable day, before the more serious competition begins on Thursday
14th. There will also be a relaxed Welcome Function on the Wednesday night, and all
participants are invited to attend.
On the night of Thursday 14 May, all Pro-Am participants are invited to a stunning
meal, with a special well known guest speaker. We would like to thank The Manse
and Best Travel Hastings for their sponsorship of our guest speaker. We ask that all
teams provide an auction lot for the Hawke’s Bay Air Ambulance auction, to take place
this evening. The value is at your discretion, but we ask for a minimum value of $50
(perhaps a hamper, gift voucher, accommodation, etc). Get creative! Help us fundraise
for a great cause.
Competitors will receive a prize table valued at over $5,000, complimentary on-course
hospitality, a hospitality card for clubhouse refreshments and an invitation to the
tournament dinner.

Fundraising for…
HB Air Ambulance Charitable Trust
Proceeds raised from the Toshiba Hastings Pro-Am Tournament auction will be donated
to the Hawke’s Bay Air Ambulance Charitable Trust. We are delighted that we are able
to support such a vital service that supports our local community.
The HB Air Ambulance carries an estimated 2,500 patients per year. Since beginning
operations, the HBAA has safely transported over 12,000 people nationwide. They are
the busiest and one of the most experienced fixed wing air ambulance services in New
Zealand, reaching all far corners of our country.
The Hawke’s Bay Air Ambulance Service has five fixed wing aeroplanes that operate
out of Napier Airport, in a purpose built facility. The aircraft are equipped to cater for
all patients, ranging from those with minor clinical care requirements, through to
patients requiring intensive care and life support.
“We are very proud of this Hawke’s Bay operation and our aim is to improve the
equipment and medical services even further,” says Mike Toogood, Managing Director
of HB Air Ambulance.

value of $50, and content to be discussed with Hastings Golf Club management. Please ensure the
auction lot is clearly labelled with your team name and dropped off at the Clubhouse office by 4.30pm
Wednesday 13 May. This is to raise money for Hawke’s Bay Air Ambulance Charitable Trust.
Entry Conditions:
Amateur players must have an official NZGA handicap.
Confirmation of team members must be sent to the club by Friday 8th May 2015.
