ABOUT US
A Cuban Experience is a company founded in 2015, but formed from a four year collaboration of Illinois cigar lovers. Our company has one
simple goal in mind – bring the Cuban culture of cigar making, exotic drinks, and island entertainment to a cigar club and more.
Our Cuban Experience Lounge (location yet to be determined) will cater to an exclusive group of Chicagoland cigar lovers interested in
enjoying the rich traditions of Cuba. These traditions have been brought to the United States by Cuban native Luis Carbonell, a Master
Cigar Maker and distributor of many fine cigar products. Luis is also a notable Chef of entrees, side dishes, and pastries that he learned to
create from his life in Cuba. Luis will be offering our patrons an occasional sampling of Cuban cuisine during special events. More than
anything, Luis is interested in sharing his knowledge of the rich culture of Cuba with Americans and, who one day hopes, will be open to
the world travelers to experience for themselves.
In the meantime, A Cuban Experience may be the closest thing for the cigar smoking public to learn about Cuba – its traditions – its culture
– its arts – its entertainment – its exotic drinks … but most importantly, ITS CIGARS!
CIGAR MANUFACTURING
Our Vision is to begin manufacturing fine cigars that are made in the Cuban tradition, using hand-picked tobacco leaves imported from
Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic (a very close match to tobacco grown in Cuba) and combining these leaves with a variety of tobacco
leaf wrappers from all over the world that match the sweet floral-note and silky smoking experience of fine Cuban cigars.
Through the extensive testing and statistical analysis performed by Dr. J. Patrick Tenbusch, who holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern
University, ACubanExperience.com is poised to offer the world a variety of fine cigars products that reverently duplicate a Cuban
experience when smoking one of our cigars. Registration for licensing and Internet distribution is currently underway.
Mr. William McCaffrey, cigar aficionado, is a major contributor to the quality control, taste, and manufacturing process because his palette
is unsurpassed in detecting the subtle variations in tobacco blends, texture, aroma, and smoke quality. Mr. McCaffrey will guarantee that
only the finest cigars will ever reach one of our customers
Ms. Angela Washburn, our company’s premier cigar roller and mixologist, holds B.S. degrees in mathematics and information technology.
She brings a unique set of talents to the science and technical know-how to cigar rolling through her extensive training and background.
Known for making cigars with great precision and symmetry, Angela also provides demonstrations to our patrons on rolling a great cigar.
She is also known for making the world’s best Mojito.
Mr. Gary LeVine brings over 25 years of sales and marketing experience to our start up efforts, and will be in charge of all of our online
promotions. Gary is also the manger of our company store, which will offer a variety of smoking accessories and apparel. Look for his
contributions to the social media section of our website in the coming months.
