Camp A: Junior Camp Hip Hop Hooray (Ages 8-12)
Dancers will explore the world of hip hop dance for a week of funky
hip hop fun! Dancers will learn hip hop moves, choreography, and
explore “free style” movements and hip hop tricks. To keep them
well rounded they will also take classes in jazzy ballet and stretch,
strength & flexibility.
Camp B: Princess and Pixie Dust Camp (Ages 3-4 & 5-7)
This camp will take your little dancer into the world of princesses and
fairies. We will have classes each day in ballet, tap, and creative
movement / pre jazz. Our crafts will include princess crowns, fairy
wands, and royal crafts. To end the week we will let everyone be a
princess for a day and dress up in their favorite princess dress.
Parents will be invited in to see what we have learned.
Camp C: Dance Company Intensive (Ages 7-19)
This camp is designed for our Competitive Dance Company. It will
include numerous forms of dance and guest instructors. It is
mandatory for all ADU 2014-2015 Dance Company for members.
Camp D: Junior Camp Broadway Bound (Ages 8-12)
We are bringing Broadway to ADU during this fun filled week of
camp! We will explore a new Broadway show each day as we learn
jazz, ballet, tap, and musical theater elements. We will learn what
the shows are about and use musical scores in class.
Camp E: Teddy Bear Tea Party Camp (Ages 3-4 & 5-7)
Me and my teddy are getting ready… to DANCE at ADU’s Teddy Bear
Tea Party! We will do ballet, tap, and pre jazz with our teddy bears.
We will make fun teddy bear crafts and finish off the week with a
teddy bear tea party and invite parents in to see us dance.
Camp F: Technique Week (Ages 12-19)
Welcome all Dance Teams and any dancers who want to brush up and
focus on what makes them a stronger more versatile dancer – their
technique! We will have classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical,
turns / leaps, and stretch. The focus will be on fundamentals and
technical dance.
