The teacher counsels with each student to develop a plan to meet that goal. Students then work independently with teacher assistance. This is a dropin class.Students attend as their schedules permit. A limited number of tests are given on each test date. English-Language Arts ~ May 12 Mathematics ~ May 13 CAHSEE preparation classes are held at the Adult School. GED COMPUTER-BASED TESTING The San Luis Coastal Adult School is a PearsonVue Testing Center. The GED test is offered in our computer lab each month. Upcoming Dates: April 17 ~ May 15 ~ June 19 ~ July 17 ~ August 21 Registration must be done online through PearsonVue at least one day before your test date. Payment is made at time of registration using a debit or credit card. The test consists of 4 sections. Each section is $35 and $140 for the full battery, Please check our website (ae.slcusd.org) for links and registration information. HiSET PAPER-BASED TESTING Before registering for the HiSET test, please create an account and password online at hiset.ets.org. To register, come to the Adult School office with your account number, password and payment ($140/entire test or $30/each section). Please be prepared to show your photo ID card (driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport, military ID or Matricula Consular) and to pay for the test with cash, debit/credit card or cashier’s check. Registration ends at noon on the day before the test. There is a $25 charge to reschedule a test. Upcoming Dates: April 17 ~ May 15 ~ June 19 ~ July 17 ~ August 21 There are no refunds for no-shows. Class B Professional Driver Course Certification with Ride-On Anna Lady Ride-On~3620 Sacramento, Suite 201, SLO Section #201700 Class meets: Wed., 5/6-7/22 11a-1p $380 Enhance your career marketability by obtaining your Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Class B includes bus driver eligibility. This twenty-four hour course meets on Wednesdays, beginning May 6th. Before the class begins, you will need to pass the DMV’s physical exam ($57) and obtain a complete H-6 ($5) from DMV. Please contact the instructor for more information. Upon passing this course you will want to obtain the required DMV license ($68). Class includes behind-the-wheel instruction, vehicle inspections, emergency situations, communication by radio, cell phones and mobile data terminals, route planning and customer service including driving people with disabilities. Bring your physical exam results to the first class (May 6th). Missing three consecutive classes may result in dismissal from course. A $30 fee will be charged for each make-up class.
