Instructions
The competition is open to all non-professional and semi-professional (must not be a professional photographer
recognised for his/her art and living exclusively from his/her photographic job) photographers aged 18 and above.
Participants will need to submit two photos by 15 May 2015 to [email protected]
on the theme "Climate: state of emergency" - only one entry with two photos per participant.
The competition will be held in three different stages:
Stage 1: Local – will be held between 12 August 2014 and 15 May 2015 by the local Alliance Francaise (AF) that will
select through its own jury panel a winner amongst the entries received.
The photos of the winning entry will then be submitted at the lasted on June 15, 2015 by the local AF to the Fondation
AF in Paris.
Stage 2: Worldwide – 40 works will be selected by the Fondation AF jury panel for a group exhibition that could be
presented in the future free of charge within the AF worldwide network.
Stage 3: Final – The Fondation AF jury panel with select the 1st prize winner.
Each participant shall submit two digital files formatted in TIFF (.tiff) or JPEG (.jpeg/.jpg) with a minimum resolution of
300 DPI (at least 30×40cm in 300dpi or 3543×4724 pixels).
The following information should also be attached to the two photographs submitted by each participant:
- Details of the camera used
- Aperture settings
- Shutter speed
- If camera film is used, details of the film (brand, ISO number).
Please fill in the entry form on the next page, and email together with the two photos when submitting your entry.
Please "save as" the form with your full name prior to emailing.
