Cross Country Circular 8 of 2015.

Dear cross country athletes and supporters,
Attached is the Team that will represent Gauteng North Athletics at the Inter Provincial Cross
Country event scheduled for Tzaneen on Saturday, 06 June 2015.
To adjust for the one league that was cancelled, AGN selected 18 athletes in each age
category. The first 12 athletes were selected based on two leagues, and another 6 based on
only one league. In cases where it was extremely difficult to distinguish between the
performances of certain athletes, the selectors may have added extra team members.
Venue: Merensky High School on the R36 road in-between Tzaneen & Modjadjiskloof

An entry fee of R 20.00 is charged for all participants. They buy their entry stickers inside the
venue. Spectators will pay a fee of R 10.00 at the gate where they enter. Results will be
distributed electronically during the week after the Inter Provincial.
Athletes who are selected into the team wear their Gauteng North Provincial attire. Athletes
who are not in the team may also enter and participate, but do so in their club / school attire.

Please bring along your provincial registration number, if you have one. AGN will also have
some temporary licenses available for those who do not have.
Age category tags are compulsory for age groups 30 and older. This can be obtained at the
AGN office at Pilditch.
Please ensure that you have a copy of your ID (Birth Certificate) available on the day of the
event in case of a dispute.
Please email me or contact the Gauteng north office (012 327 4932) if you are part of the
team, but will not be able to attend. If you do this in time, we may be able to give another
athlete the opportunity.
Athletes make their own arrangements to get to the venue. Athletics Gauteng North has
limited space available on the bus that departs from Pilditch stadium at 15:00 on Friday, 5
June 2015. The bus arrives back at Pilditch approximately 14:00 on Sunday, 7 June 2015.
Please contact the Athletics Gauteng North office by no later than Friday, 29 May 2015 to
reserve your place on the bus. You will also need to complete an indemnity form (only
athletes that make use of the AGN bus) and bring your own bedding (blanket and pillow).
Registration (Entry)
Limpopo Athletics requested that
athletes are informed that they must
complete the entry ticket in full to avoid
being left out of the results.




The stickers must be clear and in
print, if the info is not clear and
readable, the athlete will not
qualify for the event.
Do not stick the sticker on your
shirt as it may fall off, rather pin it
to your shirt, using your own pins.
The athlete must make sure that
he/she gets the correct colour
age sticker as per program at the
start and stick it on the entry
sticker.
If the athlete took part in a wrong
age group, he or she will be
disqualified for the event.
