Assessing the 3 Parts of the Human Mind
Using assessments to gain insight into employee
behaviors and facilitate team building has become
common practice. Some companies are using
assessments not just for leadership personnel, but
rather across the entire organization. In this session
we will look at the 3 distinct parts of the human mind,
and explore the organizational usefulness of
understanding an individual’s behaviors within each.
We will also take a brief overview of the different
assessment tools that have been developed for
each of these 3 parts of the mind, and discuss the
use and merits of each. Assessment Instruments
being overviewed: The Meyers Briggs MBTI, the
D.I.S.C, Kolbe A, B & Career MO+ Indexes , and Xyte
Cognofile.
Jennifer Hughes,
High Touch Technologies
Can’t We All Just Get Along?
This session will speak to the different personalities
that are found within our organizations.
Understanding these personalities and how they
work with one another is crucial to successfully
managing and developing a cohesive team. A
team that needs a rebel, as much as it needs a hero.
Brittney Hall,
The Management Trust
Taking Small Steps to Climb a Big Learning Program
Mountain (When You Thought You Were Walking Up a
Little Hill)
This session will explore the advantages of an
incremental approach to implementing and
planning a new learning program, and how this
approach can lead to a bigger and better program
than seemed possible at the beginning. Using The
Management Trust’s first year launch of their
BizLibrary-based program as an example, you’ll see
how a simple idea for basic software training grew
into an ambitious professional development program
that stimulated innovation and engagement, and
strengthened employee ownership along the way.

Safety Requirements and BizLibrary
OSHA / Safety Requirements are not only important when
keeping employees safe while performing their work
responsibilities, but they are also heavily regulated. This
session will show you how to create a system that
identifies which employees need which requirements and
how to effectively track them along with their frequencies
makes the process manageable, easy and professional.
John Gwynn, Viewpointe
From Training Event to Training On-Demand
Using Viewpointe as a case-study, this session will trace
the company’s transition in building a training function
from scratch with limited resources. One of the keys to
success has been Viewpoint’s approach to identifying
training needs. You will see how Viewpointe’s
Organizational Need Assessment process focused limited
resources on a big challenge. The results have been
substantial gains in staff development and industryleading employee engagement. The program proves
that training does not have to be expensive or
intimidating; it can be a great source of employee
participation and pride.

Closing the Skills Gap: A New Look at Succession
Planning Best Practices
The skills gap represents a real threat to growth and the

Organizations in just about every industry struggle to find
the highly skilled and talented employees they need for
growth and innovation. Succession planning programs
hold the potential to identify internal talent who can
adapt, learn and acquire many of these hard-to-find
skills, if we think about succession planning a little
differently.

A Roadmap to Successful Implementation – Start
at the Beginning . . . .
In this case study, you will hear how an
organization avoided a disastrous learning
program launch by asking a series of good
questions to establish the framework for the
design and subsequent implementation of a
new employee training program. Before
embarking on the launch, the program
managers learned the organization lacked some
foundational structural elements that are
prerequisites to a successful training program. By
stepping back, and starting at the very
beginning of setting up the framework for
success and asking key questions, the program is
now ready for a successful implementation.
