BROEN BALLOFIX® is prepared for
a handle to be screwed into the
ball. This ensures a better torque
effect. Use the handle or operate
the valve by a screwdriver or a
wrench as the valve has a slot for screwdriver and flat ends on the ball neck.
Avoid blocking of the ball
It is important to operate the valve regularly in order
to prevent the ball from being blocked by lime etc.
Flat or conic thread ends
Valves with flat ends are meant for use in
connection with couplings like BROEN PIPEFIX®
which are delivered with rubber gaskets for
installation with cu-pipes. Flat thread ends can also
be mounted with fibre gaskets.
Different handle colors are part of the
improved design and functionality
Valves with conical ends are meant for use
in connection with compression couplings
(compression ring + nut). As standard BROEN
BALLOFIX® without nut has flat thread ends. Valves
with compression coupling have conical ends.
Please notice that BROEN PIPEFIX® is not to be used
on valves with conical thread ends as this could lead
to leakage in the system due to high pressure put
on the rubber gasket when tightening the nut.

BROEN Ballofix® Lockable
Protection of water resources
Application
BROEN BALLOFIX® Lockable is a new type in the well known
BALLOFIX® product range.
BALLOFIX® Lockable is recommended for use in connection with
water meters for the protection af water resources.
BALLOFIX® Lockable is designed specifically to protect against unwanted opening/closing of the water supply, for instance schools.
institutions and public buildings.
BALLOFIX® Lockable provides an excellent solution for the water
authorities in order to solve problems with non-payment of water
rates.
The top part of the valve is designed with a tamper proof lock,
which must be operated by a key. The key can only be removed
from the lock in closed position. The lock is equipped with a master
key which ensures that it is only necessary with one key to several
locks.
After removal of the top, the valve can be operated by means of an
Allen key (hexagon or pentagon) or a butterfly metal handle.
