There is “NO SMOKING” allowed on AHA property. The signed No-smoking Lease Addendum should be mailed back to the office. If you have any questions, please contact the AHA office. New Rent Increases Please remember your new rent increases will be effective May 1st. The Lease Addendums should have been signed and submitted to the office. SAVE THE DATE! Please contact the office if you notice any mechanical issues with the machines. The COA walking event – Walk the Rink starting May 6th every Tuesday and Thursday to June 11th from 9:30am-11am. The COA has an exercise/balance and healthy eating program and a social support system. Council on Aging Van Air Conditioners Air Conditioners can be installed in your window by May 1st. If you need assistance with you’re A/C, the contact information listed below: Sheehan Appliance: Brian Sheehan 978-877-2181 or 978-256-4428 To schedule a ride to Senior Center activities Monday - Friday, please call 781-316-3414 at least 24 hours in advance. The cost is $1.50 each way. Van can accommodate wheel chairs. .Transportation Medical Appointments Call the COA at 781-316-3400 at least one week in advance to arrange for a volunteer driver to take you to a medical appointment or a cancer related treatment. Lunches & Dinners Please call Kim Fitzgerald, Minuteman Senior Services @ Drake Village - 781-221-7081, to schedule lunches at the Hauser Building Community Room Monday thru Friday at noon, or discuss meals on wheels for deliveries. Shine Counselors SHINE volunteers provide elders with free accurate, unbiased information regarding health insurance options. A SHINE counselor is available by appointment at the COA on the 3rd Tuesday, from 10:00 AM to Noon. For an appointment, call Joyce Killingsworth after 12:30 PM at the COA office at 781-316-3404. Dial a Ride 781-316-3406 Maintenance Calls Please call the maintenance number for any maintenance related issues: 781-646-1272. AHA maintains an after-hours Answering Service for Emergency Maintenance Calls Only. (after 4:30pm weekdays, weekends & holidays). COA – Laurie August (Social Services Program) 781-316-3400 Issues include referrals and information, assistance at home, housing options, caregiver resources, assistance with AHA Housing Applications. Vial for Life Forms Medical Changes Please remember to update your personal vial for life forms with any new medications you are currently taking. You may find new forms in the plastic file box near the bulletin board. Keep the form in your refrigerator If you need assistance, please call Mary at 781-646-3400 Ext 25. TRASH AND RECYCLE Do not mix trash and recycle together. Please keep separate. -2- Dial-a Ride allows you to ride for only $5.00 each way, anywhere in Arlington. Membership cards are available at the Council on Aging for $2.00. Any Arlington resident who is 60 years of age, retired, or has a verifiable disability and is of low to moderate income is eligible. Emergency Information Please make sure you update all necessary contact information in the event of an emergency. The AHA Shuttle Van The AHA van is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, for travel within Arlington. On Wednesday and Friday the van goes to the Burlington Mall and Market Basket. Please sign up one day in advance by 2:00 PM. Van tickets are $20.00 - No Cash (check or money order for van ticket). Cars parked in AHA tenant lots without an AHA parking sticker May be subject to towing. DRAKE VILLAGE Tenants’ Association President: Vice President: Secretary: Treasurer: Asst.
