Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in the Pocono area of PA.

Enjoy a day of golf in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort lies
in a picturesque setting along the Delaware River. The format is a “scramble” allowing golfers
of all playing levels to enjoy themselves and the course, all for the benefit of the charitable
causes supported by the members of the Pioneer NJ Life Member Group. Singles, Doubles,
and Threesomes are welcome…. We’ll match you up in a foursome as needed. It’s an
opportunity to renew old friendships and start some new ones. Sign up now and feel free to
invite family and friends. Last year’s event was a memorable one.
Participants will enjoy a complete program starting with a continental breakfast and welcome
bag for each player, followed by 18 holes of golf (including cart). After golf, there will be a
terrific lunch, together with the presentation of awards and door prizes.
Proceeds from this event will go to food pantries throughout the state, purchase of materials to
make lap robes which are distributed to senior centers, the Somerset House for displaced
children, and scholarships for needy and qualified college-bound Plainfield NJ High
School seniors. The Pioneers is a 501(c)(3) organization. Being tax deductible, it must support
community charitable activities through donations.

The Life Member Group of the AT&T NJ Pioneers is holding its annual golf
tournament fundraiser at the:

Participation in this charity event is $150 per golfer. Non-golfers are welcome to
join the luncheon portion of the event for $30. Sign up as a single, twosome,
threesome or foursome. All are welcome. Reserve your slot (124 player limit) early
because it’s a popular event at a great golf course.

Directions to Shawnee:




I-80 West (west) towards Delaware Water Gap to the Pennsylvania toll. After toll, take
exit 310, Del. Water Gap.
Make first RIGHT turn at the top of the ramp. At the traffic light proceed STRAIGHT
onto River Road.
Go under overpass, over railroad tracks, and at the stop sign proceed RIGHT.
Stay on River Road for another 1.5 miles and The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will be
on RIGHT.
