Call for papers
The International Meeting of Business and Applied Sciences
Academy of North America (BAASANA) will be held during
August 12-14, 2015 at N e w m a n C o n f e r e n c e
C e n t e r , C i t y U n i v e r s i t y o f N e w Y o r k , 151
East 25th Street, 7th Floor, Manhattan, New York, NY 10010
Scholarly papers, abstracts, proposals for panel from all
academic and applied disciplines in business, natural,
social, behavioral sciences including fields of applied
humanities such as journalism, mass communication, law
and legal studies, educational administration health sciences,
engineering and IT technologies are being invited for
presentation at the conference.
The deadline for
Submission is April 30, 2015. Earlier submission is highly
encouraged. Since visa formalities and travel arrangements
could take months, international participants are advised to
submit paper, abstracts, and panel proposals ASAP. An
acceptance letter will be sent following an expedited peer review
process.
Volunteers to s er ve as track Chairs, session Chairs, paper
reviewers and/or discussants should contact the Program
Chair as soon as possible.
BAASANA is an interdisciplinary, not for profit professional
association of business, sciences and technology. It seeks
dissemination of advanced knowledge and skills among
scholars and practitioners of business, social, behavioral,
natural, applied sciences and technology toward resolving
issues and problems of 21st century. By sharing
knowledge and expertise and facilitating the transfer of
know-how across the digital divide, we seek to
contribute towards the improvement of human conditions.
Founded in 2008, BAASANA serves a sponsoring academy
for multiple regional and country specific interdisciplinary
institutes.
Our
conferences
and
p u b l i c a t i o n s emphasize professionalism, mutual
respect and collegiality. We require that discussion and
comments should be cordial, positive and constructive
toward continuous improvement of scholarly endeavors of
the participants.
Conference Theme: Research Impact
Applied/international/interdisciplinary perspectives
leading to improvement of practices and/or
understanding of human conditions.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Paper/Abstract: Submit a complete paper (page limit:
20 double spaced pages including tables, references) or an
abstract with at least 500 words (Required: the title of the
paper, name(s), address(es), telephone number and email
address of the author(s), indication of the Track) to the
Program Chair (via [email protected]).
2. Scholarly papers and abstracts should address the following
criteria:
(1) Originality—does the paper contain significant new
information, ideas, model appropriate to the discipline? (2)
Relationship to the literature--does the paper (proposal)
show adequate review of the available literature? (3)
Methodology—does the paper use an appropriate research
design and method? (4) Results: What impact do the findings
make? Do they reflect any policy implication for a
geographical region or a country?
3. Proposal for a Panel (for Practitioners only- 60-90
minute session): Submit 300-500 words with a title,
indicating the track, names and addresses, affiliations
(including e-mail addresses) of the Chair of the
Panel/Round table, and of the panelists. Indicate what, why
(i.e. implications/impacts for a country specific or the
sector specific outcomes) in the proposal. The Chair takes
the responsibility of summarizing the discussion for
publication in the proceeding.
4. Only electronic submission of a Microsoft word
document is accepted. E-mail all submissions to:
baasana2@ gmail.com Note: The “Best Paper” in each
track will be recognized in the Conference at the
conference Banquet.

Conference Registration:
Authors of accepted papers, abstracts, panel proposals will be
required to register and attend the conference. The regular
registration fee is US $350 for all participants. Registration fee
for a student presenter is US $150. Accompanied spouse or
guest (non-author) could register with a fee of US $200.
U.S. $350.00 plus the late fee. Preregistration is highly
encouraged. International participants should prepay via traveler
checks (payable to BAASANA and mail to BAASANA, 2201 Bentley
Drive, Bloomsburg, PA 17815, USA). Receipts of payments will be
given at the registration desk during the conference.
Proceedings:
Will be published at baasana.org website. The proceedings will be
submitted to ISI Thompson for Review and Indexing. Best papers of the
conference upon further review will be eligible for publication at
International Journal of Business and Applied Sciences (IJBAS) ISSN:
2165-8072
Hotel Accommodation: Greater New York City offers a variety of
affordable accommodations. Hotel prices are more affordable in
Queens and Brooklyn and are easily accessible by public
transportations. Expedia.com; hotels.com, booking.com, orbitz.com may
be used to find discounted rates for hotel rooms in New York City.
August being the peak of tourist season, early hotel reservation is
recommended.
If applicable, there will be a fee of $100.00 for authors
submitting a second paper. No individual author may submit more
than two papers or proposals. The regular registration fee will
cover the conference material (name badge; printed programs,
the publication fee in Conference Proceedings, admission to all
conference sessions and activities, and sponsored meals, snacks
and tea/coffee breaks, Certificate of attendance (if requested) will
be provided. Student registration fee covers badges, conference
material, access to all sessions, snacks, breaks and a certificate of
attendance.
All participants must register by completing a prescribed
conference registration form. Payments (Payable to BAASANA) by
Bank checks, Traveler's Checks, as well as personal checks drawn on
banks located in the U.S. will be acceptable. Due to security
concerns, credit cards will not be accepted. A late fee of $25 will be
charged from July 1, 2015 for late registration. Onsite registration
during conference will be handled only through cash payment of the
