Member Definitions
Youth Membership
An individual 17 years (or still in HS) and younger.
Young Adult Membership
An individual that is 18-22 years of age.
Adult Membership
An individual 23-61 years of age.
Household Family Membership
Defined as two (2) adults and all dependent children including step children, foster children
or children you have been appointed as legal guardian that are 18 years old and under
and live in the same household. Dependent children include children up to 24 years old
enrolled in college as a full-time student.
Single Parent Family Membership
One (1) adult in a single parent household and the adult’s children.
Senior Membership
An individual 62 years and older.
Senior Couple
Defined as two (2) adults with at least one person that is 62 years of age or older.
Lifetime Membership
At 70 years of age or older a one time fee of $10,000.00 for lifetime membership.
Guest Policy
Day Pass
If you are not an out of town YMCA member or a potential member there is a per visit fee.
Guest of Members
Members can bring a guest (excluding youth & scholarship members), with photo identification at no additional cost. Each guest will
be limited to one free visit to the YMCA per calendar year. Additional guest passes may be purchased at the member services desk.
Members can bring as many different guests as they wish, throughout the year but are limited to bringing no more than one family
with one family, one couple with one couple or one adult with one adult, at a time. Members must accompany their guests to the
YMCA.
Out of town guests
If a YMCA facility member has a guest from out-of-town, the guest may visit the YMCA with the member for up to 2 weeks without
paying a guest fee. An "out-of-town" guest is defined as a visitor not living within the service area of the Beatrice Family YMCA.
Required information
All guests of the YMCA, including AWAY members, are required to bring a photo ID. We require one of the following types of
ID - valid drivers license, state ID card, or military ID. AWAY members need their YMCA membership card and a photo ID.
Membership Mission Statement
The purpose of this association is to develop and improve the spiritual, mental, social and physical life of youth and adults in
accordance with Christian teachings; and to provide programs of education and personal growth in fitness, illness prevention and
good health maintenance. And, in cooperation with other organization and individuals, to render such service in the community as
will secure better moral, social and economic conditions for youth and adults, utilizing facilities, equipment and buildings of this
association and the community as appropriate to the achievement of the purposes.
Membership Requirements: Any person of good moral character who supports the purpose of the association may become a
member and shall be entitled to all benefits of membership as established by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications for Membership: All members shall be required to comply with Christian principles of conduct consistent with
the YMCA mission. No registered sex offender will be allowed membership and no one who has demonstrated by actions,
conduct seriously inconsistent with such principles, shall be admitted or retained in membership.
Removal of Members: As a private membership organization, the YMCA reserves the right to remove members and or terminated
or suspend the membership or any member who is not meeting the values, rules or regulations of the association. The CEO shall have
the power to make this determination. The Board of Directors may establish or delegate to the CEO authority to establish procedures
to be followed in the event a question arises concerning the removal or status of any member.
Financial Assistance (Open Doors Program)
Beatrice Mary Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable association offering opportunities for personal growth and service to others. To
support our assisted members, we ask people to complete a private, confidential application for financial assistance, and return to
any Beatrice Mary Family YMCA.
The YMCA strives to serve all segments of the community. Within our available resources, every effort will be made to accommodate
all who wish to participate in YMCA programs and services. No one will be denied access to any YMCA program or service solely on
the inability to pay.
Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that promote healthy lifestyles, strong families, and
positive youth development to build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all, regardless of ability to pay.

Building Fund Fee:
There is a building fund fee which includes a Body Composition Analysis that is a one-time $60 tax-deductible fee each new membership must pay,
except for youth memberships. Those renewing their full-facility membership will not have to pay this fee again provided the membership is not
allowed to expire over 30 days. In the event that a membership is not renewed, the individual or the family would once again have to pay the
building fee.

DISCOVERY ZONE
Discovery Zone care is for children ages 1-7. Infants six months to
one year may be accepted at the discretions of the Discovery Zone
Staff.
