JOB TITLE
HGV Driver
REPORTING STRUCTURE
The job holder will report to the Group Production Manager
The job holder has no line management responsibilities
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To collect and deliver milk to Beechdean’s two production sites in Buckinghamshire and Cheshire and
also transport Beechdean finished products from the production sites to customers and third party
distributors, ensuring that both the milk and finished products reach their destination on time and in
perfect condition.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY ACTIVITIES
 Collect milk from supplier and deliver to production sites at North Dean and Tattenhall,
ensuring it is delivered on time, in perfect condition and maintained at the correct
temperature at all times.

Collect finished products from production sites at North Dean and Tattenhall and deliver
to third party distributors and customers, ensuring that products arrive on time, in perfect
condition and are maintained at the correct temperature at all times.

Complete all documentation and logs relating to the day's activities

Load and unload vehicles in line with Beechdean procedures and ensure that payloads are
within legal limits

Follow quality standards when handling ingredients and finished goods at all times and
respect all pre-requisite procedures in place

Represent Beechdean in a positive light to customers/distributors and fellow road users at
all times

Escalate any issues to the Group Production Manager

Keep vehicle/s clean and tidy at all times

Report any vehicle defects as soon as they occur

Drive the vehicle in a safe manner at all times in compliance with all Department of
Transport and Health and Safety regulations

Work with tachographs within the Working Time Regulations and other relevant legislation
AD HOC DUTIES
 Drive the HGV in connection with Beechdean Motorsport events as, required

Undertake any other duties, commensurate with the role and capabilities as requested
from time to time
The above responsibilities are set out as a guide and may from time to time vary and are dependent
as to the needs of the business.
LOCATION
This position is based at Beechdean South, North Dean, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. However,
the job holder will be required to undertake extensive travel nationally in the fulfilment of the role.
HOURS OF WORK
45 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday with flexible days/hours of work, but some weekend
work may be required. Overnights (either in cab or B&B accommodation) may also be required.
