As a West Sussex based creative designer, I strive to find the perfect balance of inspiration. From the stunning natural shapes and colours of the South Downs to the chaos of sound and activity that pulse from the heart of Brighton. I encourage direct client/designer interaction, which enables me to fully immerse myself in each project with the ability to provide you a truly tailored service. EDUCATION 2001-2003 2003-2005 Northbrook College, Sussex Northbrook College, Sussex (ND) Art and Design (HND) Graphic Design The ND Art and Design course developed both my practical and technical skills, working on individual and collaborative projects. The course featured modules on a wide variety of media including; painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, filmmaking, graphic image artworking, textile design, and contextual studies. The HND Graphic Design course enabled me to learn the latest techniques from skilled practitioners, with lecturers working in the creative industries. The course featured modules including, contextual and cultural referencing in art and design, visual communication, digital image creation and development, advertising campaigns, typographic skills and Interactive media principles. EXPERIENCE 2005-2007 2012-2013 Teva UK Ltd Studio 16 Creative Creative Designer Art Originator I started my first graphic design position at Teva UK Ltd, who are one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the UK. My Job role as Artwork Originator consisted of designing packaging and printed collateral for various pharmaceutical products whilst remaining within the company brand guidelines. When leaving Archant Life in July 2012 I began working as a freelance Creative Designer offering a full design service while specialising in brand identity and editorial. Projects consisted of working alongside publishers to launch and develop new magazine titles, as well as working on a range of brand creation briefs. 2007-2012 2013-Present Archant Life MCI Editorial Designer Head of Creative Archant Life has a vast portfolio of publications, focusing on monthly title magazines. My job role involved designing various adverts and advertorial features along with producing flat plans for a number of titles. I held the position of Advert Designer for one year before being promoted to Editorial Designer. As an Editorial Designer I was responsible for all aspects of design, art-working, branding and style development. This also involved creating original master templates for new magazine concepts, maintaining websites and pioneering online digital versions. I regularly used my artistic background having illustrated many limited edition magazines. MCI is an independent, communications and events agency, which creates events and live experiences all over the world. My job role as Head of Creative consists of offering strategy, creativity and execution at the highest level. Producing designs with high visual impact across a wide range of products including: marketing collateral, exhibition display, stage set and brand identity for events with up to 4,000 guests. Iām responsible for all creative and design elements across our UK offices as well as maintaining each of my client budgets. My latest projects consisted of working for clients such as Yahoo, GE Capital, Games of Thrones, Wella, Tesco and HSBC.
