Product Data Sheet MOORSHIELD® NANO THERMO/ COOL ELASTIC PAINT 503 Thermo insulating, high reflective elastic paint based on innovative Nanotechnology. Uses new technology reflecting and heat insulating microspheres. The special formulation of the paint provides energy savings of the building. It has specifications as a Cool Paint. Provides a breathable, mildew resistant film. It has exceptional weather and UV resistant properties. Spreading Rate Weight Solids Wet Film Thickness Dry Film Thickness 8-9 m²/L per coat 65% 125 micrometres 69 micrometres Dry Time at 20°C Flexibility Thinning For Application By 1 hour to touch 5-6 hours to recoat Passes 6 mm mandrel Thin 5% with water Brush, Roller , Spray Surface Preparation Surface to be painted must be free of all loose material such as flaking and peeling paint, dust, dirt, concrete salts and heavy chalk. The surface must be clean with all traces of grease, oil, form oils and mildew removed. Remove loose material by scraping and sanding. Sand glossy surfaces to a dull finish. Apply 2 or 3 coats 503 MOORSHIELD NANO after priming as outlined below. New Concrete and Plaster: Prime with 182 SUPER SPEC. Stabilizing Primer or 181 SUPER SPEC Acrylic Alkali- Resisting Primer, thinned according to label directions. Unpainted and Weathered Concrete, Brick: Prime with one coat of 182 SUPER SPEC Stabilizing Primer thinned according to label directions. Previously Painted Surfaces: Prime with 182 SUPER SPEC or 192 Aqua Grip Micronized Primer. New wood: Prime with 570 MOORESTYLE Alkyd Multi- primer or 023 FRESH START. Application Stir paint thoroughly before use. Apply by roller, brush, or airless spray. Thin 5% with clean water. Do not apply at temperatures below 10OC. Drying: Dries in 1 hour. Recoat in 5-6 hours. Drying times are longer under cool/moist conditions. Clean Up: Clean equipment in warm, soapy water.
