SUPER 30 8-BALL DIVISION
 Birmingham APA’s SUPER 30
8-BALL DIVISION
Our Super 30 8‐Ball Divisions are for those serious Birmingham APA players who want to compete for CASH but also have the organized league structure, fair handicap system, and the payout reliability of our Birmingham APA League. This division will be made up of the BEST in our area so the competition will be outstanding. Teams who compete in this division will NOT earn a slot in our local City‐Cups, LTCs, or in the APA National Team Championships in Las Vegas. All teams will be competing to finish high enough in their division standings to earn CASH and an opportunity to qualify to compete in our Super 30 8‐Ball Team Championship which will be held late December or early January. Our Super 30 8‐Ball Divisions will be governed by the current APA national rules and local Birmingham APA bylaws except for the following exceptions:  Weekly team fees will be $50.00 per team ($10.00 per player per match).  $35.00 of each weekly team fee will go into our Super 30 prize funds. $25.00 of this amount will go to each SESSION’S payout fund and the remaining $10.00 will go to our Super 30 8‐Ball Championship prize fund.  To be fair to all teams competing in this division, any team who wants to join a division after the session has started will receive “last place points” and MUST pay $35.00 for each week they had previously missed. This money will be added to our Super 30 prize fund. No teams may join a division after the 4th week of scheduled play.  All teams MUST play at least TWO full sessions to be able to qualify and participate in our annual Super 30 8‐Ball Championship.  Teams can have up to seven players on their roster with five players competing in each scheduled league match. The total of the skill levels of the five players fielded in any team match cannot exceed 30 points.  All players must also be playing on an active Birmingham APA Open 8‐Ball team, play the required matches for that session, and have at least 20 lifetime matches in that format to receive payouts from our Super 30 divisions. This also applies to APA players from other areas.  Only players with an 8‐Ball skill level of 4 and up may participate in this division.  To keep all teams competitive, teams will only be allowed to play up to TWO skill level 7s or FOUR skill level 6s in one scheduled league match.  All players must LAG for the break. 1 Birmingham APA’s SUPER 30

 Jump cues are allowed in our Super 30 divisions. Changing, or breaking down cues, for masse’s and jump shots are also allowed.  For larger cash payouts, NO patches, plaques, or trophies will be awarded in this division.  Cash payouts for each Super 30 division will be awarded at the end of each session. Total monies paid out will be determined by the number of teams in each specific division.  The top qualified teams from each division will get the chance to win additional cash payouts in our annual Super 30 8‐Ball Championship at the end of each pool year.  In each division, the team with the most points at the end of each session will be the Division Champion (DC). DCs earn a cash payout and a slot in our annual Super 30 8‐Ball Championship.  The top TWO finishing teams, including the Division Champion and TWO Wildcard teams of each session, will compete in their Division Playoffs for CASH.  Super 30 Division Playoffs are TWO rounds, Semi‐Finals and Finals, which will be held on the same day which will be a Saturday at the end of each session.  The 1st Place team in each session’s Division Playoff will also earn a slot in our Super 30 8‐Ball Championship. Since the Division Champions will already be qualified, if they also win their Division Playoffs, then the 2nd Place team will earn the slot.  The total monies paid out to each session’s Division Champions and Playoff Champions will be determined by the amount of teams participating each session.
