BOILERMAKER TRAINING COURSE REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Field Members Rules for Reimbursement
The Boilermakers Local 146 Field Training Trust Fund offers reimbursement upon successful
completion of many trade related courses. Please check the Members Only Section on the web
site for the 2014 Field Reimbursement List for approved courses. If the course(s) are approved,
follow the steps outlined below to take advantage of this training incentive.
1) A Pre-Authorization for Reimbursement Form must be submitted to
Boilermaker Local 146 Education Department PRIOR to program start date.
2) Applicant must be a member in good standing with the Boilermakers Local 146 for a
minimum of one year.
3) Boilermakers Local 146 Training Trust Fund must be receiving employer
contributions on the applicant’s behalf. Applicant must have worked through
Boilermakers in the last 12 months to qualify.
4) Training Course / Program must be listed on the 2014 Field Members
Reimbursement Course List. (Available at www.boilermakers.ca “Members Only” Section.
5) Refund amount and eligibility will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Refunds will be issued in full or in part as determined by the Education
Training Trust Fund at time of pre-approval. Please allow 5-10 business days
for review of application. If you do not receive a letter within 10 days please contact
Jody at (780) 451-5992 Ext. 266.

ABSA Initial B-Pressure exam fee reimbursements must be submitted with 6 months
from the date of the exam. Members must pass the exam to qualify.
7) Refunds will only be issued upon receipt of the following:

Copy of Certification or final marks. Applicant must successfully
complete the course with a passing grade.
Any additional documentation as may be requested at time of
pre-approval.
Copy of Pre-Approval letter.
