Subject : Problems faced by the employees in converting the GPF Advance to Final withdrawal -Reg
Respected comrade,
I would like to draw your attention relating to the above mentioned subject and also request
you to make it national council agenda. Comrade as you are aware it is almost 2 years over as ERP is introduced in
Karnataka circle amid heavy protest from BSNLEU. It was our request to have a parallel HR Package also to overcome
the difficulties and problems faced after introduction of ERP. With the intervention of BSNLEU regularly with both
ERP Wing and as well as HCL team many problems have been solved. I sincerely thank the people involved in solving
the problematic issues.
But a major issues is yet to be solved and it is very much necessary also keeping in view of
the welfare of the employee especially Group D , RMs and TMs. Employees who have completed 15 years of service
are eagerly waiting for the conversion of their GPF advance into final withdrawal . There are nearly 650 Cases
pending in BGTD alone. Now these employees are paying unnecessary income tax as they cannot save more through
GPF Contribution and also paying back their advances. Even if they save through GPF contribution their take home
salary becomes very less as they also pay the advance back. Keeping all these in mind I kindly request you to make
this agenda of conversion of GPF Advance into GPF Final withdrawal in the coming National council. As you know
our circle ERP wing has shown its helplessness in this issue, This process once completed by the core committee ERP
NEW DELHI maximum number of employees who are waiting to convert GPF Advance into GPF Final withdrawal will
be helped.
