Some other information: If you secure your own lodging and transportation; and want to join us for the River Cruise Dinner, the cost is $55. Please make a note on the check that you want a River Cruise Dinner. This dinner is included in the students and chaperone cost. It will be your responsibility to secure your own ticket for the Sugar Bowl. They sell anywhere from $200 to $1000. The sooner you decide to go the sooner you want to purchase the ticket. Prices will increase as we get closer to the date. This year, our Regel Regiment Marching Band has been invited to perform in the NEW ORLEANS SUGAR BOWL! This is a once in a lifetime trip and we hope that all will participate. Tentative Schedule: Please keep in mind some things may need to change as the trip approaches due to Sugar Bowl schedule, ticket availability and actual number of people going. The following dates are when payments are due (Payable to RBBC) Tuesday, Dec 29: leave to New Orleans, stop for lunch somewhere; dinner at Hard Rock Café in New Orleans. Week of June 1st $200 Non-refundable deposit Week of July 27th $250 Payment Week of September 7th $250 Payment: Week of November 9th $250 Final Payment Final Chaperone Payment $100 December 7th Please put checks in the band room lock box or Mail checks to Rebel Band Booster club: P.O. Box 761– Duncan, SC 29334 Wednesday, Dec 30: Perform at some point in the day, Sight-seeing, lunch on our own. Dinner, Dance & Awards with other Bands from across the country. Thursday: Dec 31: Rehearsal for the Half-Time Show. Lunch on our own. Afternoon at the Aquarium/Zoo/IMAX. Dinner on a River boat cruise. Friday: Jan 1: Rehearsal for Half-Time Show. Lunch on our own. Get ready for the BIG NIGHT! SHOWTIME! Saturday: Jan 2: Head home. Lunch on the road. Home in time for dinner with our families. ****************************** Byrnesband.org will soon have a link on the page where parents/students may submit questions for any information not listed in this flyer Since deposits must be paid to hotels, bus lines, etc., the initial deposit is non-refundable. In addition, only a % of money can be refunded based on time frame of cancellation and deposits made. No money can be refunded after November 16th, 2015. The trip is NOT required in order to participate in the Rebel Regiment. It is optional. You can be a member of the Rebel Regiment marching band and choose not to participate in this trip The total cost of the trip is $950. Parents are welcome to go as chaperones, but must pay $1050 (Based on Double occupancy instead of Quads). Bus space is limited; therefore, spots are available on a first come first serve basis. Number of spots will depend on how many students sign up to go. Chaperones must pass a SLED and DSS background check as well as be on a district approved list. SLED/DSS forms will be sent home in August. DSS/SLED forms should be received no later than the week of August 31st - September 4th. All money and for students and chaperones must be received before making a room assignment in November. Due to purchasing tickets this far in advance, it is necessary for the first deposit to be received on time. Thank you for your help and cooperation.
