CALL FOR PAPERS
The CADAM is the annual international conference organised every September on the different picturesque places on the
Adriatic coast since 2003. CADAM conferences have international character since the obtained results and continuous
progress are achieved by voluntary contribution and continuous support of the eminent scientists from various countries
which number continuously arise from the year to year. You are welcome to join us.
The main purpose of the annual CADAM conference and joined international journal Advanced Engineering is to bring
together scientists, researchers, experts and specialists in order to support their cooperation, knowledge exchange and
presentation of the recent progress in research and development to the worldwide auditorium. Those activities are now
supported by internationally oriented projects, such as “who is who in science” and “university books”, although they will
need some time to reach their final form.

PARTICIPATION FEE
The regular and student participation fees include publishing one “short paper” in Cadam Proceedings and related “full
paper” in the international journal Advanced Engineering (printed and Internet edition), access to digital edition, membership
in-science, all conference materials, admission to all sessions, refreshments and Icebreaking party.

Only the publishing-ready papers written according the Instructions for authors will be accepted for publishing. However, the
author may request the publisher to finalise rejected paper to reach publishing-ready level. That will be charged by an extra
fee proportionally to extra job the publisher has to do.

ABOUT TUČEPI
Tučepi is one of the most beautiful and famous vacation places on the Adriatic, with numerous hotels and family houses
which offer diversified accommodation. It is located 4 km south-east of Makarska. It is distinguished by the most beautiful
and longest gravel beach of the Makarska Riviera, a pine wood, olive-groves, luxury hotels, beautiful houses and sports
grounds. Rich in natural water springs (the name 'Tučepi' may come from Old Illyrian and mean 'village at the spring'), the
area abounds with terraced gardens, vineyards and olive-groves. The coastal slopes are dotted with villages built in
traditional Mediterranean style and the signs of an early habitation, such as the impressive tumuli - the burial mounds of
prehistoric people. An ancient stone-built hill fort overlooks the village.
Until the earthquake of 1962, the majority of its inhabitants were living in hamlets at the foot of the mountain Biokovo.
Some findings confirm population on this places even in ancient times. It was first mentioned in written historical
document in1434, but under the present name was mentioned in the 15th century. Here were found the remains of an
early Christian church from 5th-6th century and several Middle ages tombstones. In the vicinity of the current hotel
Neptun on the ruins of the villa rustica was built a church of St. Juraj from the 13th century. Towers that were used to
defend the town from Turkish attacks have been preserved till today, and represent a particular historical scene. Tučepi
does have a history longer than two millennia, judging by the archaeological findings, which include Roman tiles, old
Roman money and jewellery etc.
The most famous historical and cultural sights are St. Vid's Church built on a prehistoric pagan site dating back to the
7th century when the Croats worshiped their god Svevid there. Church of Birth of Our Lady was built in 1703, and in its
foundations were discovered decorative details belonging to an old Cristian church from 5th -6th century. Slabs have relief
decorations characteristic for that era. Towers in Upper Tučepi remains assigned to the upper part of Tučepi which offer
a sea view and in their time were used for defense against the Turks. City Museum in Makarska in which are kept
various historical collections from entire area, so you can see: the archaeological, cultural, historical and ethnographic
collection.
