How do they work?

Smart Tabs automatically adjust to
water pressure, boat speed and payload
changes to a boat’s performance and
handling characteristics. At slow
speeds, they deploy downward, which
increases stern lift, keeping the boat
more level and allowing it to plane easier

at much slower speeds. At cruising
speeds they are pushed up by the water
pressure, but remain under a load, creating ride control like shock absorbers.
Simple installation
Smart Tabs use a nitrogen gas actuator
to hold the plates down during acceleration. The plate size and actuator resistance (pressure) are determined by the
boat’s size and horsepower at the time of
installation. Even after installation, the
Smart Tabs system can be tuned or ad-
justed to the specific boat or the consumer’s preference. All of this is done
without the need for electric or hydraulic
connection, feed holes, or manual
switches. A few basic tools are all it takes
to do the installation in an hour or less.
