St. Matthew’s Music Club - Theory is fun!
Tuesday After-School Club 3.30-4.30pm
Starting this term (Tues April 28st), CAMS Music Trust, will be running a new after-school Music Club A great opportunity
to supplement young musicians’ education – whether they are already learning an instrument and don’t find time to do
the accompanying theory – or whether they just want to broaden their musical horizons in the company of other, likeminded, musicians.
Music Club is a 1-hour, fun-packed session of musical activity. Activities will include:
 Music Gym – a warm up for all participants – rhythm games, singing excercises and general musical skills
 Theory and General Musicianship training (for beginners and up to “Get your Grade 5 Theory" classes)
 Composition, improvisation and general musicianship
Most students join as beginners and all that is required is a willingness to learn and join in.
Location
Sessions will take place on Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm giving 10 minutes for everyone to come to the 2nd floor music room at
3.20pm and get settled and set up.
St. Matthew’s Primary School (Music Room – 2nd floor), 19 Norfolk Street, Cambridge CB1 2LD.
