EVERY DIFFICULTY IS AN OPPORTUNITY IN DISGUISE
The New Beginnings Toward Literacy Program offers adult education to prepare participants for their
GED test or to improve literacy. Instructor Delilah Jenkins has a staff of committed volunteers, college
students and retired educators, to assist the students with their work. The program has been operating
out of Ingram Homes Community Center since October 2011. If you are interested in finding out more
information or would like to sign up, please call Ms. Jenkins at 678-629-4472. Classes are offered Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30—6:00pm.

The Carrollton Housing Authority ROSS Program hosted a 2nd Follow Up Computer Class for residents. Eighteen residents attended the four day class and earned Certificates of Completion for the
Intermediate Computer Course taught by Ms. Tara Moten of West Georgia Technical College. Participants received $25 BP Gas Cards for attending all four sessions. Please stay tuned for another class to

Congratulations to Ms. Vevlin Hudson, winner of the brand new laptop and three months of free internet service!!! Ms. Hudson attended the ROSS Computer Class and was entered into the drawing as a
result of her attendance to all four sessions of the computer class. Congrats Ms. Hudson!!!
