COLLECT: God, who as at this time taught the hearts of your faithful
people by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit: grant us by
the same Spirit to have a right judgement in all things and evermore to
rejoice in his holy comfort: through the merits of Christ Jesus our
Saviour, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy
Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

THANK YOU
Angela and all the family would like to thank everyone for their kind
thoughts, prayers and flowers that were sent to our mum during her
short illness and since she passed away (Anne Harding). Thank you all
for coming to the Service of Celebration of mum’s life last Thursday
and making it a very special occasion.

Sunday 31st May will be our Christ Church Together service at 10.45
am and the speaker will be David Lancaster-Smith. This will be the
only service that day.
BEREAVEMENT
Many of you will know Vera Beecroft. Vera sadly passed away on 19th
May and her funeral will take place at Landican (South Chapel) on
Monday 8th June at 11.30 am.
CHURCH BUILDING 2015 APPEAL
If you’ve not yet picked up a leaflet about our 2015 Building Appeal
please take one from the table at the back of church. Please be
praying about your response – although the appeal will be open
throughout the year, some of the work is urgent, a-nd we would like
to be able to make a start as soon as the money starts coming in.

BIRKENHEAD CHRISTIAN BOOKSHOP
The Christian Bookshop Birkenhead are looking to recruit a Saturday
Sales Assistant to be in place for September 2015. We are looking
for an enthusiastic, responsible and motivated young individual who
has a heart to serve and provide excellent customer service in the
shop. The successful candidate will preferably be aged 16-20, familiar
with Christian literature and music, possessing a ‘can do’ attitude and
ideally with IT skills that can be used to help promote our shop and
products through social media and the internet. Hours of work are
8.45 to 5.15 every Saturday. CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS:
