CUC CONVOCATION ceremonies are being held in our church this weekend. However, seating for the Commencement service on
Sunday is limited to ticket holders only, due to the large graduating class. If you are not an invited guest of a graduate and do not have a
ticket, please plan to view the events through live webcast.
VIEW EVENTS through Webcast – CUC is pleased to offer to those not attending the Baccalaureate and Commencement services the
opportunity to view these ceremonies through a real-time webcast. For viewing go to www.cauc.ca.
WORSHIP SERVICE TIME: Beginning April 25 we will have only one worship service. Sabbath School in the sanctuary will start at
9:15 and worship service will be at 10:50 a.m. On September 12 we will return to having two worship services.
NEXT SABBATH A Better World will celebrate 25 years of service. Sabbath School will start at 9:00 a.m. with a musical prelude.
“Disability Not Inability,” the story of Janet Auma with Ken and Hazel Hill and Ted Proud will be featured. The worship service will
feature “What’s Right With the World.” At 3:00 p.m. at the Lacombe Memorial Centre “Journeys of Hope,” a book by journalist
Cameron Kennedy, will be launched with people from Kenya sharing how their world is made better. Luncheon tickets are sold out.

TESTIMONIES: Our Personal Ministries leader is looking for stories and testimonies from anyone who has been brought to the church
because of the Signs of the Times magazine. If you have such a story, please share it with Erick Shogholo, Personal Ministries Director,

SEMINAR IN RED DEER: The Red Deer Church is hosting “Lessons for Living” seminar with Pastor Bill Santos, April 10 - 25 at 7:00

CELEBRATION: We’ve Come So Far! Your Mission School is celebrating its first year as an Adventist Senior Academy, its first Grade
12 graduates, and recognizing the Real Alberta Adventists who made it happen. Join Mamawi Atosketan Native School and SDACC
President Mark Johnson along with other Church in Canada representatives for the Milestone Celebration at a very special MANS Open
House, Sabbath, April 25. Open House begins at 3:00 p.m. Real SDA Founders Recognition at 3:30 p.m.
SAGE ANNUAL CONVENTION will be April 30 - May 3, 2015 in our church. It is only a few days until the registration deadline date,
April 23, 2015. Brochures with registration information are on the table by the Parents’ Room. Registration forms are needed for a head
count for the banquet, cafeteria meals, and transportation for the nature outing. You won’t want to miss the fellowship, good food, great
music, and hearing Dan Jackson, NAD president and fellow Canadian. (Dan will speak on Sabbath at our church at 10:45 and 2:30.) A
gospel concert will be held at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome for Sabbath activities.
S.H.I.N.E. MINISTRIES Sabbath in the Park: All single young adults (18 - 35 years old) are invited to participate in a special “Victory”
day at Michener Park in Lacombe on May 23. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a short Sabbath School followed by church
service and a message presented by Jessica Richter, a young lady who has participated in a mission project and is attending Canadian
University College. There will be an afternoon of fun activities in nature ending with a vespers program presented by Jessica. All those
attending are asked to bring at least one dish of food to contribute to the lunch and supper potlucks. For more information, please email

ATTENTION Medical Personnel: The Alberta Conference is looking for medical personnel who can assist during this year’s camp

SING INTO SPRING CONCERT will be Friday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Living Stones Church, 2020 -40 Avenue, Red Deer. Enjoy a
broad range of contemporary, sacred and choral music, including many songs by Canadian composers. Featuring Ihana (youth cho ir),
Brioso (Junior and Senior children’s choirs) and Soliloquy (adult mixed chorus). Tickets for this event available from any choral

ADVENTIST SINGLE ADULT and S.H.I.N.E. Ministries Cleanup Day will be held at Foothills Camp on June 7. Downed trees and
undergrowth need to be removed around the Singles Ministries Tent at Camp Meeting. Please bring chainsaws and wheelbarrows (those
that have them), pruners, rakes and a salad with some sandwiches. Work will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a picnic lunch at noon and
an afternoon walk/outdoor activities (weather permitting). If you can participate, please contact Darlene Reimche before June 1 by

GARAGE SALE: CHCS is holding its annual Spring Garage Sale on Sunday, May 3, from 9:30 to 1:30 p.m. To book a table call Karyn
at 403-782-2645. Donations for the Home & School table will gladly be accepted during school hours on April 29 and May 3. Stop by,
hunt for treasures and enjoy a pancake breakfast with proceeds going to the Parkland Pathfinder Club. (The tables sell out quickly so call
soon if you are interested in one.) Also, bring your pop cans, etc. for recycling for the Parkland Pathfinder Club.
POSITION AVAILABLE: The Alberta Conference is accepting applications for Adventist Book Centre Manager in Lacombe. The ABC
Manager is to provide for the coordination of all aspects of the ABC in order to assure its success as a Christian retail operation. Retail
sales experience or other customer related experience desired.
