– Acknowledges the spatial and financial
constraints of urban (re)development
– Allows flexibility in meeting requirements
– Streamlines the permitting process
– Reduces variance requests
– Accomplishes CRMC’s mission to preserve,
protect, develop, and where possible restore
coastal resources
