Saving Lives With Emergency Imaging & Image Guided Interventions
Selamat datang to MYSIR 2015.
It is with great pleasure to bring you the 3rd annual scientific
meeting of Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology. This
year our focus is on Emergency Interventional Radiology or
Emergency IR.
The aim of this year meeting is to emphasis on the importance
of emergency IR in managing everyday situations. Emergency
IR plays an increasingly vital role in providing more options for
a broader range of emergency management. This year's theme
will start from basic emergency imaging on day one followed by
two days of interventional focused topics and case discussions.
We have a good selection of leading local and international
speakers.
The IR lectures and discussions will cover aspects of
embolizations and its devices, case discussions and advanced
technique, stroke interventions, gastrointestinal bleeding,
trauma and procedural related injuries or complications are
among the topics for this conference.
This meeting will serve as a good platform and venue from all
levels to learn, interact and build network. We hope that you will
benefit from the conference immensely, as this is life saving
techniques that can prolonged and save patient's lives. We are
confident that the programme offers interest to all physicians,
surgeons, emergency specialists and trainees whose work
touches and crosses paths with embolizations and emergency
IR.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to MYSIR 2015.
Thank you.

About the Societies
Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology (MYSIR) was
established in 2012. MYSIR's mission is to be the primary
national body in the development of interventional radiology
and to provide excellent healthcare, research and teaching to
enhance the standard of medical practice in Malaysia. It
acknowledges the challenges that are facing our interventional
radiologists. MYSIR believes that continuous education and
training will mitigate these challenges. Apart from educational
and awareness activities, the society will also form ties with
other interventional societies around the world to foster working
relationship, exchange of ideas and training opportunities.
About the Conference
The theme for MYSIR 2015 “Emergency IR: Saving lives with
emergency imaging & image -guided interventions” showcases
not only current and basic interventional oncology practices but
will also highlight on the new developments and innovations in
image-guided interventions therapies.
The format for the conference includes morning and afternoon
sessions with invited speakers and proffered papers. The
comprehensive session format of the programme is designed
to provide sponsors and exhibitors with a maximum access to
delegates throughout the Conference's duration across
scientific and with associated advertising and promotional
opportunities.
