DMUNC will be held on May 16th – 17th, 2015 at the University of California, Davis campus. The Conference Secretariat, Staff and I are committed to providing delegates with a constructive, thought-provoking, and overall worthwhile conference. The Davis Model United Nations Conference has always striven to coordinate an enjoyable conference for delegates of all levels Regardless of experience, delegates have always been eager and enthusiastic students who are prepared to use their skills in diplomacy and debate to simulate U.N. committees and pass resolutions. Timeline November 24, 2014 Early registration begins February 9, 2015 Topic synopses released January 24, 2015 Normal registration begins Fee increase Country assignments will begin to be released March 15, 2015 Late registration begins Fee increase April 25, 2015 Last day for late school registration May 9, 2015 Position papers due via email at 11:59 PM, PST May 12, 2015 Last day for late delegate registration May 16-17, 2015 Davis Model United Nations Conference 2015 Registration The registration process will be online at http://goo.gl/P4Z4Ou . All major credit cards (via Paypal account), as well as checks, will be accepted. Check payments are enforced by postmark. Please make checks payable to Model United Nations at UC Davis. Do not send cash via post. Mailing address: Model United Nations at UC Davis CSI Box #179 Memorial Union, 4th floor One Shields Ave Davis, CA 95616 For day of conference registration, cash, check and all major credit cards will be accepted. All fees are non-refundable. Delegations will not be allowed to participate in DMUNC without payment. School Registration Fees: Early registration: $55.00 (November 24 – January 23, 2015) Normal registration: $60.00 (January 24 – March 14, 2015) Late registration: $70.00 (March 15, 2015 – April 25, 2015) Day of conference: $75.00 (May 16, 2015) Delegate Fees (per delegate): Early registration: $45.00 (November 24 – January 23, 2014) Normal registration: $50.00 (January 24 – March 14, 2015) Late registration: $60.00 (March 15, 2015 – May 12, 2015) Day of conference: $65.00 (May 16, 2015) Country assignments Country assignments will be sent via e-mail. In order to maximize your school’s chances of receiving a requested country, please register and send the payment (if paying by check) as soon as possible. Please continue checking our website for updates. Research Laptops, pre-written resolutions, and laminates will absolutely not be permitted in committee. Delegates in possession of prohibited items are subject to disqualification and dismissal. Position papers Position papers are required to be eligible for awards. If a delegate’s paper is emailed by Friday, May 8th, at 11:59 PM PST, they are eligible for all awards and their paper will be returned to them in committee. If a delegate’s paper is turned in after the designated deadline, they will be eligible for all awards, excluding the Research Award. We cannot guarantee that their papers will be returned to them, as chairs may not have adequate time for grading. The appropriate email addresses will be posted on our website. Additional notes Committees and schedule are tentative, as the Secretariat are still in the process of finalizing details. Any changes made will be posted on our website, http://www.davismun.org, and advisors will also be notified via email.
