Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce 14 Annual Oodles of Noodles Cook-off and Festival th Saturday, June 6th, 2015 and Sunday, June 7th, 2015 Celebrate Dayton's Chinese & Italian Heritage Don’t miss this event! The cost for an amateur cook off booth is only $60 prior to 5/1/2015 or $90 AFTER 5/1/2015. The cost for a professional cook off booth is only $110 prior to 5/1/2015 or $140 AFTER 5/1/2015. $100 CASH PRIZE FOR 1st Place - AMATEUR $100 CASH PRIZE FOR 1st Place - PROFESSIONAL Plus Trophy for bragging rights The Oodles of Noodles Cook-off and Noodle Tasting will be SATURDAY ONLY and specializes in “noodle” dishes of ALL types to celebrate our Chinese and Italian heritage. The 2 day event also offers lots of Live Entertainment, Pet Parade, Great Food, Vendors and Crafters, Civil War Re-Enactments, Old West Gun Shows, Motorsports, RV Showcase and much more. Please fill out the contestant application form, return it with your check to the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and we will save your space. Booth spaces are 12’ X 12’ and participants are required to furnish their own 10 x 10 tent, table and chairs and set up. We HIGHLY recommend an overhead cover! Please be prepared for wind. Myers 775.230.9007 AMATEUR CONTESTANT APPLICATION Amateur – contestants who are not professional chefs or own a restaurant and will be creating their noodle dish at the Oodles of Noodles event. Registration fee is ONLY $60 prior to May 1, 2015 Registration fee is $90 AFTER May 1, 2015 PROFESSIONAL CONTESTANT APPLICATION Professional – contestants who are professional chefs, own a restaurant or have access to a commercial kitchen and will be preparing their noodle dish in a commercial kitchen and bringing the dish to the event. Tasting must occur at contestant booth. Cooks (and helpers) supply their own camp, BBQ, or propane stove and table(s), utensils, shade, C02 Fire extinguisher recommended. Nevada State Health Rules MUST be followed & each entrant’s area will be checked prior to opening and during the noodle tasting. All Noodle Contestants will be EXEMPT under the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and WILL NOT need a Health Permit. Contestants must provide at least 7 gallons of entry. 2 oz. tasting cups & eating utensils are provided by the Chamber. Booths MUST be decorated in a Chinese or Italian theme. Prize for Best Decorated Booth. Preparation can begin at 5 am, on Saturday, June 6th – Locations are pre-assigned. Judges will have anonymity from contestants and will vote for Judges Choice Award. Ticket(s) for tasting must be presented for public tasting. NO tasting is allowed without a ticket. Public tasting will commence after judges have received every sample for judging. The Public will vote for the People's Choice by submitting their tasting ticket as a ballot. Check in at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce Trailer, to receive assigned booth space number. All contestant booths will have a # displayed prominently on the front of your booth. Entry fee is non-refundable — Sorry, no rain checks VOTING FOR PEOPLES CHOICE ENDS AT 2 pm on June 6th AWARDS FOR ALL CATEGORIES WILL BE ANNOUNCED AFTER FINAL TABULATIONS at 3:00 pm LIABILITY AGREEMENT The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has made arrangements for security patrol the night of June 12th and June 13th to safeguard the event. I agree to hold harmless the Board of Directors and staff of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and Lyon County free and harmless from any liabilities for activities connected with the event.
