1. Only Approved and eligible registered/Annually Pre Qualified Contractor of CPWD in appropriate category of “ EI” are eligible to quote
the quotation.
2. Intending firm shall submit their quotation in two envelop system. Envelop A shall contain their authenticated proof of Registration in EICategory, Valid Electrical License, Copy of DVAT and upto date VAT Return, Undertaking in the letterhead of the Agency and EMD.
Envelop B shall contain their price bid /offer.
3. Envelop A shall be open first and after verification of authorization and registration in DVAT with upto date VAT return, and EMD failing
which the quotation/Price Bid will not be opened and summarily rejected.
4. Envelop B shall be opened after verification of documents in Envelope A.
5. Rates quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes and cartage etc.
6. Quotation can be downloaded from Delhi Govt. website www.delhi.gov.in

SPECIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL CONDITION
1.
The work shall be carried out strictly in conformity with the CPWD General specification Part-I (Internal) 2005, PartII (External) 1995 for electrical works in force and the Indian Electricity Rule - 1956 as amended upto date for such
works.
2.
All the materials, whatsoever, to be supplied and provided by the contractor should be of standard and approved
quality. These should be got approved from the Engineer-in- Charge of his authorized representative before
installation. No payment will be made for any unapproved or sub standard / rejected materials used on the work.
Rejected materials should be removed from the site of work within 48 hours, failing which the same will be liable for
removal by the department at the risk and cost of the contractor without any liability.
3.
The electrical work shall be done strictly in close co-ordination with civil works where- ever these are in control of
this office. No claim for idle labour shall be entertained under this agreement.
4.
Any damage done to the building while executing the electrical work should be made good to the entire satisfaction of
the department. The chases, holes etc. cut in the walls and roofs should be filled within two days. All malba should be
removed on the same day. In case of failure to do so, it will be got done by the Engineer-in-Charge or his authorized
representative at contractor's risk and cost.
5.
All watch and ward of the materials installed at work will be the responsibility of the contractor till their handing over
to the department on completion of work. Merely recording of measurement and running payments made to
contractor will not mean handing over of installation. There will be regular hand in over / taking over of the
installation. Any missing item shall have to be made good by the contractor.
6.
Persons executing electrical work should have valid electrical license as required under I.E. Act.
7.
The earthing shall invariably be done in presence of the AE/JE in-charge of the work.
8.
All Metal Boxes and junction boxes should be cleared and cleaned properly and painted before fixing the accessories.
9.
Supply items are to be got checked from Engineer-in-charge in advance; otherwise no payment shall be released.
10. All screws/nuts bolts should be galvanized/cadmium plated only, as the case may be.
11. Contractor will have to abide by the instructions contained in CPWD Manual.
12. The wires in wiring work shall be used FR only and of the make as per enclosed list.
13. Whatever repairs work. It should be done with proper cement and sand ratio and to be maintained with existing
finish.
14. The work order should be issued on Form CPWD -11 A.
15. The work is of urgent nature and must be completed within 2 days from the date of award.
