The PALM Cafe takes place in the St Joseph’s Centre, Balerno next to Balerno Parish Church, 0.5 miles off the A40 (Lanark Road) in the village of Balerno. PALM Café member. Dementia Friendly Communities PALM is working with Alzheimer's Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council on a local Dementia Friendly Communities Project. This involves working with the whole community (shops, businesses, churches, social groups and local services) to help people with dementia to remain a part of their community and not become apart from it. Music at the PALM Café. When is the café held? The PALM café is held in the St Joseph’s Centre, Balerno on the last Tuesday of the month 2.30pm-4pm. We welcome volunteers to help in the running of the PALM cafe. You do not require any previous experience and any time you can give will be greatly appreciated.
